July is here, so it is finally time to pack our bags and GO!!
A notoriously difficult month in terms of fashion shopping, July is stuck between the end of the sales and the pre-fall collections, which means it tricky to compile a shopping list.
I find that although summer has only just started, I am already bored with my “high summer” wardrobe, so I am looking out for fresh pieces from the new collections which are very much buy now, wear now investments.
A few of the most interesting surprises during my search, were that two designers I had fallen out of love with, have made it back into my radar.
Emilio Pucci, because one must never be afraid of a good print and Isabel Marant, because despite the label’s insistence on continuing to produce those ghastly wedged sneakers and its inconsistent cloth quality, it has aced the pre-fall collections. Truly covetable, easy to wear, less boho pieces that will work really hard in a “between seasons” wardrobe.
Here are my picks for the suitcase…and California road trip here I come!!
