Fashion Week looks we can actually wear…

Fashion Week fever hits town. New York City’s week is wrapped up and the circus has now hit London en route to Paris, then Milan.

No doubt that Street Style has become a more influential catalogue of covetable fashion then the shows itself, perhaps not entirely due to, but most certainly partially due to the fact that the covetable looks on the streets are looks available to own right now, as opposed to those on the runways – which in its current shape means the knock offs are available to buy before the originals hit the stores 6 months after the show…

This status quo is inevitably bowing down to change. The fast moving progress of digital fashion can simply no longer sustain such an antiquate format.
Buy now, wear now is where fashion is at, but the remaining question is: will the upcoming fashion calendar upheaval undermine the whole idea of luxury, or the belief that the good things in life are worth waiting for?

Interesting reads here.

So, as street style progresses to the top of our influencer charts, learning how to discern from the street style looks created for PR or those that are how our fashion icons actually dress, can be a bumpy road.

Two tricky looks that when expertly executed, can easily be transformed into an everyday favourite, are the leopard print coat and the 70’s eccentricity with a touch of 2016.

While beauty is most certainly not my expertise, preparing for the hectic schedule of fashion week rounds, requires a skin that can take the onslaught. And when it comes to preparing skin, no one, knows better than my most knowledgable friend, Frankie Kenny.

In our corner of London, Frankie is practically an institution when the subject is facial beauty. Her knowledge and execution of CACI treatments, border on wizardry. No one has seen their skin at its best until they have visited Frankie’s luxurious home based treatment room. Although, having said that, only the lucky may be able to get an appointment…

The fabulous products

My dear old self

The treatment I had was the CACI Ultimate. This facial  consists of a micro-current which is used to help lift, firm and tone sagging facial muscles, alongside using the orbital microdermabrasion to exfoliate her skin, LED light which helps tissue repair, healing and lighten  pigmentation.  Frankie then used the Hydro mask, which is packed with collagen, hyaluronic acid and rose water to deeply moisturise the skin.

There is no downtime after the facial and I left with a firm, plump, more radiant and youthful complexion!

Frankie Kenny offers the treatments from Barnes, London. She can be contacted here.
